EMES International Research Network, in collaboration with Euricse, is organizing the 9th edition of the EMES International training school, to be held in Trento, Italy, from June 30th to July 4th, 2024.

This training school promises a unique and enriching experience for passionate Ph.D. students and early-career researchers eager to learn more about social and solidarity economy and social innovation.

The Summer School is delivered as part of the European Social Innovation Campus (ESIC) blueprint project, under the Erasmus+ Programme, in which Euricse is one of 15 European partners joining forces to identify and address skills gaps in the social economy sector, developing skills at different levels of education in Europe and offering learning opportunities to meet the needs of different emerging job profiles in the sector.

The 9th edition of the EMES International Research Conference on Social Enterprise (#9EMESconf), “Act locally, change globally: Social enterprises and cooperatives for more resilient economies and societies“, will take place from 11 to 14 September 2023 at the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences in the city of Frankfurt (Germany).

This #9EMESconf will be a great opportunity to discuss the challenges faced by social enterprises, cooperatives and voluntary organizations to create impact and address SDGs. The potential of these organizations to assist transformative processes and increase resilience in local, regional and national economies will be analyzed.

The #9EMESconf will bring together research communities from all over the world studying: social innovation, cooperative economics, social entrepreneurship, voluntary and solidarity action, hybrid organizing, institutional logics, the commons, transitions perspectives, critical management, etc.

This conference is a partnership between EMES International Research Network and the Competence Center for Social Intervention Research at Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences. It is the first face-to-face EMES conference after the Covid-19 pandemic aiming to be a meeting place for scholars, practitioners, and policymakers worldwide involved in the “SE field”.

The Call for Papers will be launched in mid-September, and abstract submission will open in early December 2022.

Demostrar que si nos organizamos colectivamente nuestro consumo entre cientos de personas y empresas conscientes del poder transformador del mismo tiene una capacidad inmensa para transformarlo todo.

La empresa social, la acción cooperativa y la de voluntariado: Uniendo principios y valores para renovar la acción.

La Red Internacional de Investigación EMES, en alianza con el programa Empower-SE COST Action, y el Grupo de Investigación GESES (Grupo de Estudios Sociales y Económicos del Tercer Sector) y el Laboratorio de Economía Social LAB_ES, ambos de la Universidad de Zaragoza, y la Asociación de Economía Social CEPES Aragón, tienen el placer de anunciar el 8ªConferencia Internacional de Investigación EMES bajo el lema «La empresa social, la acción cooperativa y la de voluntariado: uniendo los principios y valores para una acción renovada».

Invitamos a la comunidad académica internacional a explorar las posibles sinergias entre las diferentes disciplinas que estudian a las empresas sociales y a impulsar un debate crítico entre las diferentes comunidades de investigación que lo componen (empresa social, economía social y solidaria, cooperativas, actividades de voluntariado…) sobre el estado actual de la investigación y la práctica en su campo.
