4th international webinar: the SSE in the european context

Save the date for the online webinar, “The Social and Solidarity Economy in the European Context: Key Elements for a Transformative Agenda”, which will take place on Wednesday, December 11th, from 16:00 to 18:00 CET.

This seminar marks the 4th session in the Cycle of Webinars launched by REAS Red de Redes in 2022. The series explores the importance of engaging at the international level, the need to build alliances, and the generation of knowledge in a context where the Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE) has been recognized as a driver of change, contributing to the achievement and localization of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The focus of this session will be to analyze the new strategic agenda of the European Union for 2025-2028 and its implications for the Social and Solidarity Economy. The discussion will explore the SSE’s role as a transformative force, addressing how it can contribute to shaping inclusive and sustainable policies. Speakers will identify the challenges and opportunities arising from the new European political context and propose strategies to strengthen advocacy and collaboration to ensure the SSE remains a central element in EU policies.

Key speakers from Social Economy Europe, Solidar, and Ripess Europe will share their proposals and recommendations on what can be done in order to strengthen the role of the Social and Solidarity Economy within the EU’s new strategic framework, ensuring its recognition as a key driver for social justice, sustainability, and economic resilience.

Este seminario marca la 4ª sesión del Ciclo de Webinarios lanzado por REAS Red de Redes en 2022. La serie explora la importancia de trabajar a nivel internacional, la necesidad de tejer alianzas y la generación de conocimiento en un contexto donde la Economía Social y Solidaria (ESS) ha sido reconocida como un motor de cambio para contribuir al logro y la localización de los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS).

El enfoque de esta sesión será analizar la nueva agenda estratégica de la Unión Europea para 2025-2028 y sus implicaciones para la Economía Social y Solidaria. El debate explorará el papel de la ESS como una fuerza transformadora, abordando cómo puede contribuir a la formulación de políticas inclusivas y sostenibles. Los ponentes identificarán los desafíos y oportunidades que surgen en el nuevo contexto político europeo y propondrán estrategias para fortalecer la incidencia política y la colaboración, asegurando que la ESS permanezca como un elemento central en las políticas de la UE.

Ponentes clave de Social Economy Europe, Solidar y Ripess Europa compartirán sus propuestas y recomendaciones sobre lo que se puede hacer para fortalecer el papel de la Economía Social y Solidaria dentro del nuevo marco estratégico de la UE, asegurando su reconocimiento como un motor clave para la justicia social, la sostenibilidad y la resiliencia económica.
